Your clients can pay your invoices online by credit or debit card. This article explains how card payments work, how to turn them on, and how to turn them off.
How card payments work
Payments are handled by a third party service - a payment processor
We use Stripe
Stripe accepts, declines, or refunds the payments
You need a Stripe account to receive payments - if you don't have one, the app will help you create it
Once active, a Pay Now button appears on your invoices and your clients can pay you instantly
Turn on card payments
Go to Settings - Payment options - Stripe
Activate Stripe payments
The invoice is marked as paid automatically once your client pays
Turn off card payments
Go to Settings - Payment options - Stripe
Click the green switch - it turns gray
The Pay Now button disappears from your online invoices
Note:
The Pay Now button stays on the PDF invoices you have already sent
You can still log in to your Stripe account and manage your payments there
